The Information and TLC Sector is in charge with the organisation
of the networks supporting the activities of the different offices
of the Province.
Especially, the ICT Sector is responsible for the control of the
servers, the development of services like Intranet, Extranet,
Internet and other applications and the proposals for E-Gov projects.
The Planning and Control Office is supporting in practical and
theoretical way all the programming strategy of the public body,
assuring its management and updating.
The PR Office is assisting the citizens in their needs within
the competence of the Provincia.
In its activity, there is also an important moment of back-office
to collect and to elaborate the information useful to ameliorate
the front-office activity.
Main results
- All the different Provincia’s offices spread on the
territory are connected by a network working with a broad band
- All employees work with computers connected to Internet,
with a good rate of modernity of the machines (22% are under
one year old and 46% under three years)
- Digital technology is used for the whole phone network
- Digital signatures are already used by some employees
- Innovative service of assistance is active for all employees
- Update information is given by sms
- In some offices, phones are connected by IP with good saving
of money and better integration among the different phone services
